Heidi Schlumpf is managing editor of U.S. Catholic, a monthly magazine based in Chicago and published by the Claretians. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s in theological studies from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary at Northwestern University. She also freelances for Publishers Weekly, National Catholic Reporter, and Sojourners. She has received many awards for her writing, including the Eileen Egan Journalism Award from Catholic Relief Services two years in a row.
