Michael J. Stevens
Musician Michael Stevens has composed more than 300 works for a wide assortment of ensembles including large band, string quartet, music for voice, music for solo instruments and numerous small jazz group compositions. He has been guest clinician and artist in residence at numerous educational institutions both here and abroad. In the past 3 decades Stevens has released more than 40 CDs featuring his original music on such diverse record labels as Leo Records (England), Soul Note Records (Italy), Konnex Records (Germany) and Drimala Records (VA). Previously a resident of Brooklyn, New York, he now lives in Memphis. |
