William G. Stroop

The Rev. Bill Stroop received his Ph.D. in 1981 in experimental pathology. He taught at the University of Utah School of Medicine and at Baylor College throughout the 80's and early 90's. In 1994 he and his family moved to Little Rock where Bill was a Professor of Microbiology & Immunology, Pathology, and Ophthalmology, and a Career Scientist with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Bill resigned his academic positions in 1999 to attend the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest after he was made a postulant for Holy Orders. He was ordained to the transitional deaconate in Little Rock in December 2001, and priested at St. Paul's in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in June 2002. In 2006, he was called to serve as Rector of Trinity Parish in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
