At Mealtime

Gracious God, I pray that you will bless this food so that it is a sign to me of the abundance of your love. May its color, its taste, its smell remind me of the goodness and complexity of creation. May it be more than mere fuel for my body, and become instead the sacrament that feeds my soul. I ask this for the sake of your love. Amen.
